Event Title: PMI-SVC Design Thinking Workshop (Day1)
Date: Wednesday October 6th , 4:30pm-6:30pm - via Zoom
Event Overview: During the free 4 PDU virtual workshop, attendees will learn about and experience the Design Thinking process. The very interactive and collaborative event will step every participant through each of the Design Thinking modes while working through a current problem that the chapter is attempting to resolve.
About Design Thinking: Design Thinking is a non-linear, iterative process that businesses or individuals can use to understand people (members, clients, users), challenge assumptions, define or redefine problems and create innovative solutions to ultimately prototype and test. Involving five different modes—Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype and Test—it is often used to tackle problems that are ill-defined or unknown.
Cost:The event is free to both chapter members and non-members.
The sessions will be facilitated by Innoveate, who has been providing free Design Thinking workshops and training to the Sacramento Valley Chapter members and chapter leaders for several years. Part of their mission is giving back to the community by volunteering their time and helping various volunteer-based, non-profit organizations - like the PMI-SVC - solve problems for their organizations.
Zoom link will be sent a day prior to the meeting to those who have registered.
