Event Description: The Project Management Institute of Sacramento Valley is pleased to welcome you to ProjectMakers! We are Toastmasters for Project Managers. We meet the first and third Wednesday of every month from Noon to 1:00 pm, online. If you are working in the field of project management and want to practice public speaking, to improve your communication competence and build leadership skills you will certainly benefit from TM for PMs! With Toastmasters, you can break barriers, not your budget.
As a project manager, you need to communicate with your team, your boss and the shareholders; and you know that your public speaking skills are constantly in use. In light of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), Toastmasters clubs around the world are holding online meetings. Whether you are interested in joining Toastmasters or a current member looking to continue your journey, online meetings are a great way to accomplish your goals and achieve personal and professional growth!
Participate in Toastmasters’ proven program, where you’ll learn how to speak comfortably in front of a group and lead with purpose. People who join Toastmasters find potential they never thought they had and achieve more of their goals and dreams.
Attend meetings where you will regularly practice skills that make you a more confident speaker and leader. These real-world, highly in-demand soft skills will help you advance your career, acclimate to a new city or even get a new job!
Toastmasters is a powerful combination of a proven education program where you receive effective evaluation that helps you build skills at your own pace. Plus, Toastmasters’ communication and leadership development does not take place in a typical instructor-led classroom and is not limited to a set timeframe, like a seminar or conference.
Our club helps project managers from diverse backgrounds become more confident speakers, communicators and leaders. From young professionals to experienced managers to those seeking personal growth, you’ll find a warm, supportive group that shares your goals.
