Technical Dinner Meetings give attendees time for networking in a social setting, prior to a PMP relevant presentation.  PDUs are given in accordance with the new Talent Triangle structure.

Attendees will be checked in before entering the event.  Time for networking is available prior to the start of the presentation and throughout the evening.  Appetizers and a no-host bar will be available.  PDUs will be awarded following the event.

Topic:  A Modern Look at the Project Team!

Project Managers used to rule the roost.  We were the only game in town.  Projects lived or died by the Project Manager and we felt the pressure.  If a project failed, we got the blame, but if the project succeeded (as we always hoped it would), then we were the epic hero!

Brian Melville is currently a project management consultant with Radian Solutions and an instructor with UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education.  Brian has quite the hat collection – he has worked as an analyst, programmer, project manager, scrum master, program manager, organizational change manager, and engagement manager.  He has also consulted with government, financial, healthcare, retail and manufacturing clients. Brian’s professional mission statement is to, “develop organizations, teams, and individuals so they can deliver positive results through project, program and change management.”  He is a frequent speaker with the local chapters of PMI and the International Institute for Business Analysis (IIBA).  He teaches Project Management, Business Analysis, and Agile classes.  When he isn’t busy hiking, playing strategy board games, or changing the world, you’ll find him babysitting and changing his new granddaughter’s diapers.  He says it’s all part of the mission statement.
