Dear PMI-SVC Members,
PMI-SVC is excited to announce the start of the third iteration of our Chapter’s Mentor Program! Having received positive feedback from participants in the first two iterations that they found the program valuable we are expanding it to accept more participants. This is the opportunity for our chapter members to mentor those new to project management or to learn new skills from others in the field with more experience.
Iteration 3 of the Mentor Program session is scheduled to begin in January 2021 and last 20 weeks. Once applications are received, the Mentor Program Team will identify pairs of individuals, then a mandatory kick-off meeting will be held to orient participants on the program.

For this program monthly virtual or in-person meetings are required. Mentor/Mentee pairs establish their own goals, plan, and cadence but the most successful pairs will have open communication and frequent check-ins. Up to 10.5 PDUs in the “Giving Back” category will be awarded based on attendance and completeness of deliverables.
Program requirements include:
- Attending a kick-off meeting
- Establishing goals
- Meeting between Mentor and Mentees at least once per month
- Monthly meeting of all participants
- Attending a closing event; mentees present a brief report-out on goal status
