trophyThe Project of the Year (POY) Award recognizes the accomplishments of a project and the project team for superior performance and exemplary execution of project management using processes and approaches that are consistent with A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide – Fifth Edition, released 2013).

The POY Committee is currently soliciting nominations from organizations with projects completed in 2016. If you have projects in your organization that have been or will be completed in 2016 that you would like us to consider, please submit an application to  .

The PMI Award is a great way to recognize your organization for a job well done. We recognize the top projects submitted and will announce the winner at the award ceremony on April 20, 2017.

This special event is our opportunity to celbrate the success of our peers and to recognize their commitment to project management in the Sacramento Valley.  The POY recognition award are a fantactic way to show your gratitude and appreciation for a team;s effort.  The chapter considers all projects Large and Small, Agile or Waterfall, and those in between.

The deadline for submission is January 31, 2017. The POY Committee is actively seeking projects that we as peers can recognize and showcase to the project management community. Our volunteers cannot do it alone, the committee NEEDS YOUR HELP to identify good projects in our community, or people who would know of such projects. Submission guidelines, timelines, contact information and more are provided below. Don’t forget – prospects will need time to put their applications together – so start now!
