Rose Elley has close to 20 years of experience in technology innovation from product conception through launch with industry leaders Hewlett Packard and Intel. Since moving to Roseville in 2002 she has professionally integrated within the Northern California region earning an MBA from UC Davis Graduate School of Management, a Master of Arts degree in Leadership from Saint Mary’s College (thesis pending), holding various offices on the Sacramento Valley Project Management Institute Board, graduating from the Sacramento Entrepreneurship Academy, winning the People’s Choice award in the UC Davis Big Bang Business Plan Competition, and completing the Stanford University Advanced Project Management Certification program. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from UCSD and is also a PMI-certified PMP.
In 2007 Rose had a vision and founded the PMI-SVC Career Development Team (formerly known as the Job Team) which has since helped literally hundreds of chapter members through rough economic times both find employment and expand their professional networks. The team is organized and run under the philosophy that each member is a leader. People who join today are benefiting from the contributions of their predecessors including hugely significant work done by Tom Carlos, Karen Tinucci, Chelle Peters, Bill Slingland, Susan Hewlett, David Weybright and David Knowles to name just only a few. You can blame Rose for the 7AM Saturday meeting time that brings only the serious to the table. She is a strong believer in community; people helping people achieve goals.
