As Project Managers, we need to understand the relevance of Diversity and Inclusion efforts in the workplace and why they are important. Today, many corporations seek a diverse workforce. However, statistics show that a majority of workplaces are far from successfully integrating team members, as we are impacted by our own biases.

Attend this presentation to gain a better understanding of Diversity and Inclusion, and gain a deeper understanding of how they are important in the workplace!

Presenter:

Sonali Kimsen is a technology leader with extensive experience in IT solutions, organizational behavior and global people management. She currently serves with Intel’s Integrated Talent Management team. Sonali directs complex digital transformation projects, leading global, inclusive teams. In a workplace with diverse cultures and experiences, Sonali understands the impact of bias and micro-inequities, and how these impact employee engagement.

Sonali is currently the VP of Marketing for the PMI Sacramento Valley Chapter, promoting the benefits of chapter engagement to members and non-members, alike.
