Background: I joined PMI Sacramento Valley Chapter as part of my own professional growth journey and quickly became involved in several chapter initiatives and leadership programs. I earned my PMP certification and currently serve in volunteer leadership roles supporting chapter strategy, the PMP Study Program, and the Mentorship Program. Professionally, my background includes program management, business process optimization, portfolio coordination, and cross-functional collaboration across industries including manufacturing, healthcare, and technology. Much of my work has focused on building structure, improving processes, and helping teams move ideas into sustainable programs and operational workflows. Outside of PMI, I volunteer as a CASA advocate for youth in foster care, a volunteer case manager with Powerhouse Ministries, and an advisor supporting strategy and partnerships for Shifting Waters Leadership Institute. Qualifications: One of the things I value most about PMI Sacramento Valley Chapter is the sense of community, support, and professional development it creates for people at many different stages of their careers. Over the next two years, I would love to help expand opportunities that connect members not only to certifications and education, but also to mentorship, networking, leadership development, and real career growth. I believe career development is more than job searching. It is about helping people build confidence, relationships, practical skills, and community. My goal would be to continue building programs and partnerships that create meaningful value for members while also strengthening volunteer engagement and collaboration across the chapter. Through my current volunteer leadership work within the chapter, I have already been helping build operational structure, strategic alignment, and scalable processes across multiple initiatives. I would be excited to continue contributing in a way that helps support both current members and the long-term growth of the chapter. |

Background: I have been a Chapter Member since 2024; and am currently planning to obtain my PMP certification in 2026. I have experience working in warehouse operations and logistics environments, where I contribute to and support various project management-driven initiatives. My work involves coordinating operational processes, improving workflow efficiency, supporting cross-functional teams, and participating in projects focused on logistics optimization, inventory management, and operational performance improvements. Through these experiences, I have developed strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills that align with project management principles. Qualifications: Over the next two years, I envision our Chapter expanding access to professional development through stronger distance learning programs and more collaborative volunteer engagement. By investing in virtual learning opportunities, hybrid events, and skill-based project teams, we can better serve members regardless of location, schedule, or career stage. I also believe we should create clearer pathways for volunteers to contribute based on their specific interests and skill sets, helping members grow while delivering greater value to the Chapter. I will contribute to this vision by continuing to support educational programming, volunteer coordination, and member engagement initiatives. I am committed to fostering collaboration, encouraging innovation, and helping create inclusive learning environments where members can connect, learn, and lead together. My past contributions include volunteering for PD Day 2025 and currently serving as Education Director for PMI-SVC in 2026. These experiences have strengthened my leadership, organizational, and teamwork skills while giving me firsthand insight into the needs of our members and volunteers. I am passionate about continuous improvement, servant leadership, and building a stronger, more connected Chapter community. |

Background: My professional journey began in academia as a research scholar, where I developed a strong foundation in analytical thinking, problem solving, and continuous learning. I later served as an Assistant Professor while pursuing doctoral research in Bioinformatics, gaining valuable experience in teaching, mentoring, and guiding students through complex challenges. I subsequently transitioned into the technology sector, where I have spent most of my career leading and supporting initiatives across healthcare IT, interoperability, digital transformation, public sector modernization, and emerging technologies. With more than a decade of project and program leadership experience, I have worked at the intersection of technology, business, and people, helping organizations navigate change and deliver meaningful outcomes. I hold certifications including Microsoft’s AI Transformation Leader certification, PSM I, ITIL, and HL7. My journey with PMI began in 2007. While I pursued PMP certification earlier in my career, extensive product development and delivery responsibilities limited my ability to complete it at that time. I remain passionate about mentorship, professional development, and helping others prepare for the future of project management in an increasingly technology driven world. Qualifications: My goal is to help PMI-SVC continue providing meaningful opportunities for members to learn, connect, and grow throughout their careers. Having worked across academia, healthcare technology, enterprise transformation, and public sector modernization, I have seen how professional growth often comes from a combination of continuous learning, mentorship, practical experience, and strong professional networks. Today, organizations and professionals are adapting to rapid changes driven by AI, automation, and digital transformation. While technologies continue to evolve, the ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, manage change, and deliver successful outcomes remains fundamental. If elected, I would like to support initiatives that strengthen mentorship, leadership development, professional networking, and career transition support. I also believe PMI-SVC can help members better understand how emerging technologies are influencing projects, organizations, and career opportunities across industries. My experience leading transformation initiatives and collaborating with diverse teams has reinforced the importance of adaptability, collaboration, and lifelong learning. I hope to contribute these experiences to the Board while supporting PMI-SVC's mission and helping members at every stage of their professional journey. I am committed to professionalism, ethical leadership, and service to the PMI-SVC community. |

Background: I've been a PMI Sacramento Valley Chapter member for nearly two years, currently serving as Director of Events. I hold my PMP certification. I'm a Technical Program Manager at Gap Inc., where I lead enterprise programs and drive AI-forward initiatives across commerce and platform teams. I've carried a similar focus at DoorDash and Avolta, embedding AI and automation into large-scale program delivery. I also co-founded Digital Squared, a boutique AI consultancy that helps executives in healthcare, higher education, and private equity put AI to practical use. What connects all of this is a belief that program management and emerging technology aren't separate conversations. They belong together. As VP Events, I want to bring that perspective to our chapter programming and create events that help members stay current, connected, and ready for what's next. Qualifications: As Director of Events, I've seen firsthand what works and what doesn't when we bring members together. That experience gives me a clear picture of where we can go next. My vision for the chapter over the next two years is to build an events program that members actively look forward to. That means a mix of formats: practitioner-led workshops, AI and technology-focused sessions, and informal networking events that give people real reasons to show up. I also want to bring in speakers and topics from adjacent fields so our events reflect how project management actually works today, not just how it's defined on paper. As Director of Events, I've organized and supported chapter programming, coordinated with speakers, and helped shape the calendar. I've also contributed through volunteer engagement and mentorship within the chapter. I'd bring energy, consistency, and a bias toward events that teach members something they can use the following Monday. |

Background: Hello, my name is Dillon Mitome. I have been a member of the PMI Sacramento Valley Chapter since 2023 and have greatly enjoyed the opportunities for professional growth, networking, and service that chapter membership provides. While I do not currently hold a PMP certification, I plan to obtain it within the next year as part of my continued professional development. Professionally, I have over six and a half years of progressively responsible analytical, program management, and project management experience within California state government. I currently work for the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES), where I serve as a lead analyst supporting complex FEMA-funded disaster recovery projects. I have also recently accepted a management position with the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) focused on program integrity and operational oversight. In addition to my professional career, I currently serve as Vice President of Operations for PMI-SVC and remain committed to supporting the chapter’s continued success and growth Qualifications: Over the next two years, I envision PMI Sacramento Valley Chapter continuing to strengthen its position as a leading professional community by improving operational consistency, increasing volunteer engagement, and making more data-driven decisions. A key priority for me is clarifying and documenting operational workflows to ensure continuity, reduce knowledge gaps, and make it easier for current and future volunteers to succeed in their roles As Vice President of Operations, I will continue focusing on expanding and strengthening the Operations team through targeted recruitment, onboarding, and mentorship efforts. Building a deeper volunteer bench will help distribute workload more effectively, improve succession planning, and support the chapter’s long-term sustainability. I also believe we have significant opportunities to leverage PMI Global’s existing platforms, reporting tools, and member data to better understand engagement trends, identify areas for growth, and support strategic decision-making. By using analytics to inform priorities and resource allocation, we can improve operational efficiency and deliver greater value to our members. My contributions to date include supporting implementation of the Volunteer Engagement Platform (VEP), improving operational documentation and workflows, improving existing support for our ongoing forums, and helping strengthen organizational processes. |

Background: I have been a Sac Valley PMI chapter member and volunteer since October 2023 — now approaching three years of service with this community I've come to value deeply. My project management experience spans multiple industries, including enterprise technology at Verifone — where I led multiple process improvement initiatives — and renewable energy at SolarEdge Technologies, where I served in a technical account management capacity as a service engineer. I currently serve as a Project Manager at the California Housing Finance Agency, supporting the agency's Program Management Office and strategic initiatives. My academic foundation includes an MBA from Sacramento State and an undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems. I recently earned my PMP and look forward to bringing that certification — along with the relationships and experience built through chapter service — to this leadership role Qualifications: My vision for Sac Valley PMI over the next two years is a chapter that runs as well behind the scenes as it does in front of its members — modern, data-informed, and deeply connected to the professionals it serves. As VP of Operations, I would prioritize modernizing and streamlining our public-facing website to ensure it reflects the quality and professionalism of our chapter. I would also work to build a culture of data-driven decision-making — leveraging membership trends, website analytics, and event attendance data to help chapter leadership make smarter, more responsive choices. And I am committed to continuing to support Professional Development Day and other outreach initiatives that make this chapter a meaningful resource for PMs at every stage of their career.
