Keep an eye for the upcoming newsletter blasts or Chapter website posts for the call for nomination for positions on the ballot and other important information.
Below are the key dates and frequently asked questions:
Election Key Dates
2022
- May 2: Nominations Open
- May 16 (11:59 PM PST): Nominations Closed
- On or around June 13: Slate of candidates announced and candidate statements on the PMI-SVC website.
- July 20, 6 to 7:30 PM PST: “Meet and Greet” Candidates; Venue (To be determined)
- August 1 to 15: Polls open
- August 15 (11:59 PM PST): Polls closed and results tallied
- On or around August 16: Election certified
- On or around August 31: Election results announced on website
- September: Introduce new Board of Directors to membership
2023
January 1: New board members officially take office

Participants will receive suggestions from the other attendees on current challenges, and share information on items of interest. WHAT - What is the Chapter Guess Pass Program? PMI SVC has partnered with PMI Global to offer members who are not current PMI SVC Members an opportunity to try out Chapter Membership for free for 1 year.
HOW - If you do decide you would like to try out PMI SVC Membership for free for a year, contact the Vice President Member Relations at
vpmr@pmi-svc.org to get a unique code that you will enter at checkout.
WHO - Eligibility to participate requires that you be a PMI Global Member, but have not been a past member of the local PMI Sacramento Valley Chapter.
WHEN - We are offering a limited number of passes and we will be offering this program till all the passes have been distributed.

Find a Volunteer Opportunity
Make your mark on our PMI Chapter and the profession. As a member, you can volunteer to work on and to lead activities that advance the profession and support the chapter business operations by joining our chapter volunteer community. All volunteer openings are managed by the PMI Volunteer Relationship Management System (VRMS). This system includes the ability to search for opportunities, view details about each role and apply online.
Earn PDUs by Volunteering
Volunteering Project Management Professional PDUs can be earned as part of
Category D (Creating New Project Knowledge)
Category E: Volunteer Service (by providing volunteer, non-compensated project management, and many others).
Category F (Working as a Professional in Project Management), comprise the Giving Back To The Profession Categories.
Speakers for our Chapter's Events
PMI-SVC welcomes proposals from passionate speakers interested in sharing their experiences, knowledge and expertise on such topics as general business and strategy, leadership, project management, and technical or industry-specific specialties. Our Professional Development events provide professional development units (PDUs) of educational information necessary for those attendees maintaining certification designations. Speakers are also eligible to claim PDUs for their creation and delivery of the presentation material.
