Description: In Agile, we create User Stories to capture the customer's requirements.  But are there other tools we can use to help our customer understand and describe their wants and needs, their business environment, and their business processes?
In this workshop, we will explore new tools to help a fictitious Eye Care Center design a workflow automation system.  We'll help our customer create a product vision, construct a context diagram, and define their to-be process - all to help us build a more complete and accurate product backlog.  If you are looking for ideas to get your projects off to a great start, then this is the meeting for you.

About the Speaker:  Brian Melville started his IT career as a Systems Engineer with EDS in Michigan.  This role introduced him to the world of Business Analysis and Programming. Before long, he added Project Management to his resume, then Organizational Change Management, and most recently Agile. Brian is currently consulting with the California Department of Justice and teaches Business Analysis classes through the UC Davis Professional and Continuing Education department.  He is a former President of the Sacramento Chapter of IIBA and enjoys mentoring individuals and organizations that are working to enhance their business analysis capabilities.
